pūjā performed by priest to consecrate or bless a new car in the Lord’s name and keep it safe from any mishaps / unfortunate occurrences. It’s a prayer of gratitude to the Lord for allowing the devotee to own (or lease) and use this car/vehicle.

Seek blessings from God for any new items to ward off negative influences. This pūjā is done as soon as possible after the purchase. The vāhana pūjā is a short ceremony to obtain God’s blessing for a new car/vehicle. pūjā can also be done for old cars during devī navarātrī on āyuda pūjā day.
